A good circle starts here.

A useful portrait starts with honest, considerate people. These rules apply to everyone, including people using a generated alias.

Know your circle

Connect with real people you know. Mutual acceptance is required. Never create a profile to impersonate someone or use multiple accounts to influence their results.

Rate a behavior, with care

Answer from what you have observed. Use “I haven’t seen enough to say” when you are unsure. A skip is never a low score. Do not coordinate praise, retaliate, or pressure friends to answer a certain way.

Respect the unanswered question

Do not demand to know who submitted an answer. Do not use timing, screenshots, or group pressure to identify raters. Friends may choose to talk about their own answers, but nobody owes you that information.

Keep public spaces positive

No harassment, discrimination, threats, sexual content, accusations, or targeting someone’s protected characteristics. Curated prompts and avatars are the only content formats at launch. There are no anonymous messages or public comments.

Growth is personal

Do not use portraits for employment decisions, eligibility decisions, public shaming, or judgments about someone’s worth. Respect someone’s choice to pause, disconnect, block, or leave.

When something feels wrong

Open a connection and choose Report a concern, or contact support. Blocking removes the connection and prevents new contact through that account. Reports are reviewed by restricted moderators; we may limit activity, withdraw results, or suspend an account. Use support to request a review of an account restriction.
